While part of this increased traffic must be due to the growing awareness of what Partpool.com can offer, the greatest growth has been in the last 6 months.

With searches in the whole of 2008 reaching over 1.4 million and rising to over 625,000 in January 2009, we feel that the site is the ideal tool for the Automotive industry to use in it's need to reduce parts inventory. Gone are the days when the trade just filled the trash can with old stock to clear the shelves.

Here are some special FAQ's for existing and new Subscribers to the system:

Existing subscribers with Dealer/Seller Accounts.

There is no need to do anything, your account details have already been upgraded. In fact many of you have already noticed that you can now add an unlimited number of parts (if you had a lower quantity) and that your use of the system covers an indefinite period.

Existing subscribers with User/Buyer Accounts.

You can either do nothing or Upgrade. If you wish to Upgrade there are two easy options:

1. If you wish to upgrade immediately on your next visit to the site.
Select the Seller button on the home page. Log In as a Dealer using your existing User Email and Password and follow the on-screen instructions. That's it, you now have both Seller and Buyer rights for an unlimited number of parts for an indefinite period.

2. If you wish to Upgrade at any time in the future.
Click on the "Upgrade to SELLER" menu item in the page header. This will take you to the Dealer Log In page where you Log In using your Email Address and follow the on-screen instructions as set out in 1. above.

New Subscribers.

Click on the SELLER button on the home page or the "Upgrade to SELLER" menu item in the page header of all other pages. Once on the Dealer Log In page select the "New Dealer Registration" button and follow the on-screen instructions.

GROUP VERSIONS.
The aim of these new versions is to enable Groups, Car Clubs and other organisations to offer a special parts "intranet" to it's members or customers.
These proposed versions will be accessed via a a specific web address or “gateway”
(e.g. http://xyz-dealer-group.partspool.com or http://xyz-car-club.partspool.com)
and will take the user to a specific welcome page. This page will include an option to select whether to view just those parts belonging to other members of the organisation or all parts on the Partspool Database.
The system will also include an RSS Newsfeed displaying all parts added by members during a specific period

New User Manual.

Yes, just like everyone else, it is a constant struggle just to think about updating the User Manual!
The problem, of course, is that we would much rather put all our development efforts into adding new features to the system. However we have finally put someone on the job! However it looks as if she will have to start over now that the FREE version has been released!
So if there is anything that the existing manual doesn't explain as clearly as you would like, please let us know and we will do our best to make sure we address the problem.
And if there is a feature that the existing system does not include which you think should be added, just let us know and we will have a look. No promises mind!
